Initial Consultation
We offer a free 15-minute phone consultation so you can find out if Medical Speech Pathology is a good fit for you.
National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
$193.99 per hour as outlined in the NDIS price guide. Travel for home visiting services is additional and is priced as per rates recommended by the NDIS to cover clinician time and running costs of the vehicle.
Services available include initial consultations, ongoing therapy/intervention, NDIS assessment and review reports, swallow assessments, mealtime management plans and staff/carer training.
*Please note that we only see plan-managed and self-managed participants.
Private
$145.49 per 45 minutes – face-to-face or telehealth
$193.99 per hour – face-to-face or telehealth
Mobile home-visiting services incur an additional fee to cover travel time and running costs of vehicle.
Home Care Package
$193.99 per hour & additional travel. You may be eligible for funding for Speech Pathology services under your Home Care Package.
Medicare
We accept Enhanced Primary Care Plans (EPCs) from your General Practitioner. This allows for five sessions per calendar year to be eligible for a Medicare rebate. Sessions are charged at the full private amount and then you are able to claim the rebate online through the Medicare portal – we can provide support with this.
National Injury Insurance Scheme Queensland (NIISQ)
Medical Speech Pathology are registered to provide services for individuals under NIISQ.
$193.99 per hour offered in-home in southeast Queensland or via telehealth Queensland-wide.
Professional Supervision
$193.99 per hour for individuals, or $290.99 for groups of 2 or more, offered via telehealth Australia-wide.
Melissa is a registered Speech Pathology Australia mentor in the areas of adult-acquired swallowing and communication disorders and currently teaches at university level.
